CET – Sacramento

8376 Fruitridge Road, Sacramento, CA

Center for Employment Training, commonly referred to as CET, is a system of schools that provide career training programs for interested individuals. The school is comprised of seventeen campuses in five states, with most of the schools being located within the state of California.  In fact, nine of the eleven campus locations are located in California which range from Santa Maria to Sacramento.  The other two campus locations are found in Alexandria, Virginia and El Paso, Texas. The roots of the school trace back over fifty years.  Specifically, the school was established in 1967 to provide educational opportunities for migrant workers coming into the United States. Over time the program was expanded, and its success relative to other similar schools was so great that it received funding to replicate its training model in other states. Students who attend a CET campus will learn to work in a given field or industry through the tutelage of experienced and professional instructors. Facilities are designed to emulate real world settings in order to familiarize and acquaint students with environments that they will be working in. Upon completion students will receive a certificate that demonstrates competency for potential employers. The school primarily deals with disadvantaged populations as part of its mandate for improving social conditions. Programs offered include:
  • Accounting
  • Business Management
  • Construction Management
  • Medical Assistant
  • Automotive Technician
  • Electrician
  • Welding Fabrication
  • HVAC Specialist
  • Green Technology
  • Machine Technology / CNC
