Herzing University is a privately owned career institution that operates twelve locations in eight states. The school was founded in 1965 as a computer programming school in Milwaukee, after which it quickly expanded through the acquisition of other schools. The school has received several name changes, having started as Herzing Institute, then Herzing College, and eventually Herzing University to better reflect the programs and degree levels offered. The school also offers online education as part of its evolving educational offerings. Herzing University offers large number of programs that prepare individuals for a career in a high demand field. Programs are taught by experienced and qualified faculty that prepares students through practical application of skills in preparation for employment. Undergraduate and graduate level programs are available, allowing students to choose an education that best suits their needs, resulting in a certificate, associate’s degree, bachelors or masters. Herzing University – Birmingham is located at 3000 Earl Goodwin Parkway in the city of Selma. This campus has a graduating class size which is approximately 230 students each year. This campus provides services for students in the form of flexible courses for individuals who cannot make regular hours, job placement opportunities for students after graduation, and remedial education courses for program or licensure preparation.
