Le Cordon Bleu is a system of school located in the United States owned and operated by the Career Education Corporation, Inc. as part of a licensing agreement with the French school of the same name which opened in 1895. The name of the school is taken from an elite order of French knights that became known for their extravagant banquets, or cordon bleus, a name that then become synonymous with excellent cooking.
