Westwood College is a system of seventeen campuses in six states that provide career training and education. The school is owned by Alta Colleges Inc., a for-profit organization that manages and operates Westwood’s various branches, including the online arm of the institution. The school was founded in 1953 as the Denver Institute of Technology, though the name was changed as the institution began to grow and expand.

Students at Westwood College will receive a targeted education in one of a variety of fields for the purposes of preparation and skill development to ensure long term employment. Instructors are often industry professionals with years of experience to help provide practical training for students. Upon completion students will receive a diploma, associate degree or bachelors based on the track of study chosen. In addition, Westwood College Online provides access and education for those students that require flexibility or lack the ability to attend a physical campus.
