About

Reid State Technical College, located in Evergreen, Alabama, was founded in 1963 to provide residents of its designated service area additional post-secondary education opportunities. The city of Evergreen provided local support and land for the establishment of a permanent campus that allowed the college to become a reality. The school serves the Counties of Monroe, Conecuh, and Escambia, as well as parts of Butler Covington and Wilcox Counties. The school has over the years added facilities and maintained renovations in order to utilize new technologies and meet current and future student needs.

 

Academics

As a technical college, RSTC provides a small number of programs focused on high demand fields. Individuals participating in one of these programs will receive the training and skills necessary to enter the workforce as a qualified professional, utilizing the knowledge and abilities learned through classroom and practical training under the supervision of professional instructors. Completion of a program takes between one and two years to complete, with individuals will earn an associate degree or certificate depending on the program of study.

Admissions and Financial Aid

Individuals interested in enrolling at Reid State Technical College may do so through the completion and submission of an application for admission and payment of all related fees after registration. Students are also asked to take a placement exam, participate in new student orientation and apply for financial aid prior to registration. Financial aid is available in the form of loans, grants and scholarships. Students in need of financial assistance must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), used by the school to form a student's financial aid packet.
