Practical courses provide students with an environment that simulates real world settings under the supervision of an instructor to ensure that safety measures are taken as students hone the methods and techniques being taught. Program length will vary based on the area of study, with most programs taking a year to complete. Upon completion, students will receive a certificate that demonstrates competency and allows for employment opportunities. The school also provides job placement services to ensure students are able to utilize their skills and begin their careers as quickly as possible.

Admissions and Financial Aid
Individuals interested in attending Abram Friedman Occupational Center may register online or in person. Individuals seeking to obtain a high school diploma or equivalent must be at least 16 years of age. The school provides courses online and in person, and some programs require a placement exam prior to enrollment to see if the student qualifies. Classes are offered monday through friday, and students are required to attend the first class and may be dropped otherwise. Times are separated into day and evening classes to better accommodate complex schedules.
