Academics
The Abram Friedman Occupational Center offers students an opportunity to pursue career training in a given industry or field. Career training programs provide skill training and education that is often required by the chosen industry or field, with courses taught by seasoned professionals. Individuals will receive classroom and practical training to ensure that the education is well rounded, and to provide a forum for both theory and practice. Practical courses provide students with an environment that simulates real world settings under the supervision of an instructor to ensure that safety measures are taken as students hone the methods and techniques being taught. Program length will vary based on the area of study, with most programs taking a year to complete. Upon completion, students will receive a certificate that demonstrates competency and allows for employment opportunities. The school also provides job placement services to ensure students are able to utilize their skills and begin their careers as quickly as possible.

Admissions and Financial Aid
Individuals interested in attending Abram Friedman Occupational Center may register online or in person. Individuals seeking to obtain a high school diploma or equivalent must be at least 16 years of age. The school provides courses online and in person, and some programs require a placement exam prior to enrollment to see if the student qualifies. Classes are offered monday through friday, and students are required to attend the first class and may be dropped otherwise. Times are separated into day and evening classes to better accommodate complex schedules.

Financial aid is available in the form of loans and grants. Aid is awarded based on need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Aid must be applied for in a timely manner so that the information may be processed and the funds disbursed when needed. Aid options should be explored with a representative of the school to identify options.
