About
Harbor Occupational Center, located in San Pedro, California, provides vocational training and certification for students age 16 and above and is one of three such facilities operated by the Los Angeles Unified School District. In addition to vocational training, the center offers ESL and GED courses. HOC's goal is to impart the skills necessary to succeed in a work environment, including problem solving, academic and technical knowledge, interpersonal skills and communication.
Enrollment
Students wishing to study at HOC must pay $30.00 per semester for enrollment, $6 dollars for a photo ID, $7 dollars for parking and the costs for books and materials for classes taken. There are exemptions to the enrollment fee based on age or current economic situation.
