- Honestly, if there were a lower rating than "poor", this school would receive that score from me.
A) They regularly employ false advertising and even worse, their admissions counselors deliver more lies than a cheap used car lot. The books are not free. They are issued to each student at the beginning of the module and required to be turned in at the end of the month long module. IF a student wishes to keep them he/she must purchase them. The college is not regionally accredited therefore none of their credits will transfer to any other college. Ever.
B) This school will accept anyone as a student as long as they are able to receive Pell grants. The school makes sure that everyone receives a passing grade in every class through several means. 1) all tests are open book and open notes. 2) tests are taken online which means that the internet is also an accessible option. 3) a final portion of a student's grade (about 10%) is called "professionalism". As long as a student shows up for class every day, he/she will receive their professionalism points which can boost a student's grade by a full letter--easily.
C) Students are charged approximately $400.00 per credit hour. IF a student dis-enrolls or simply does not finish the program he/she enrolled in, they are still charged the FULL AMOUNT that they would have paid for the full program.
D) IF a student does not finish, the collections department will begin calling incessantly. In fact, they will actually cross the line and be rude, obnoxious and violate the Fair Debt Collections Act.
E) Students are told that they can take 'certification' exams as they progress through school (ie: Phlebotomy). This is only partly true. First off, only half the information required for the exam is even touched on in class. A student must spend hours studying on their own to cover enough to pass. Once the exam is passed, the school will not release the certificate to the student until their graduation. This means that the student cannot utilize the certification to obtain employment in that field while still in school.
This school is nothing more than a diploma mill. They make promises that they cannot keep. They consistently enroll students in programs that they will not qualify for (ie: a student in their Medical specialties program who must pass a background check for a their licenses...but the student has prior convictions which will prevent them from getting their licenses from the State.) Their primary focus is money. Plain and simple.
