Charter Oak State College is a public college founded in 1973 in New Britain, Connecticut. The school was created to provide working students with an opportunity to receive an education with flexible hours to obtain associates and bachelor's degrees. Since its founding the school has adopted online distance learning programs as its primary form of education.
Academics
Charter Oak State College offers various programs that conclude with a certificate, associate degree or bachelor's degree. There is no residency requirement to study, and COSC accepts credits from other institutions (upon review).

Admissions and Financial Aid
Individuals interested in enrolling at Charter Oak State College should complete and submit the application form along with all pertinent test scores and transcripts from previous institutions. Once received the application will be reviewed for admission and the applicant will be informed of the decision. Financial aid is given to eligible students through a variety of programs.
