About
The story of Goldey-Beacom College, located in Wilmington, Delaware, begins in 1886 when H.S. Goldey opened the Wilmington Commercial College. W.H. Beacom, one of the school's top instructors, left in 1900 to form his own institution just a few blocks away from his previous employer. Over the next fifty years the schools participated in a fierce rivalry which ended in 1951 when the two schools merged. 1974 saw the relocation of the school from downtown Wilmington to suburban Pike Creek.
Academics
Goldey-Beacom College offers a small variety of programs with an emphasis on business. While all programs have bachelor's programs, business programs also offer associate and master programs. Courses are offered year round, in a variety of structures to assist those who require a flexible schedule.
Programs offered include:
Admissions and Financial Aid
Students wishing to enroll at Goldey-Beacom College should complete and submit the application along with all recommended material. GBC evaluates each applicant individually, such that GPA, Class rank and test scores are not the only measure of what GBC considers a successful student. Financial aid is available to eligible students. Eligibility is determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Additionally GBC provides a financial aid timeline outlining what a student must due and when in order to be considered for financial aid awards.
