Founded in 1982, First Institute has been offering exciting new career paths to the residents of Northern Illinois in Travel, Computer Technologies and Health Care. Our Nationally Accredited Programs have trained nearly 3,000 men and women to become employed in the Travel Industry, Computer Technology Industries and the Healthcare Industry, currently in such fields as Medical Assisting, Massage Therapy and Dental Assisting.

At First Institute, we provide students the personalized attention required to get those skills. Our knowledgeable staff is equipped to educate and instruct a diverse student body, guiding them towards a successful and fulfilling career.

First Institute firmly believes that a close relationship between the real and theoretical leads to a greater learning experience, and our programs all integrate theory and practice. Students learn through the comprehensive, hands-on training and graduate with a well-rounded understanding of their chosen field. The objectives of First Institute for our students and graduates are to provide them with advanced skills, in-depth knowledge and job placement assistance. Although First Institute has greatly evolved over the years, one thing has always remained constant - we are totally committed to exceed our students' expectations.

First Institute is also responsible for ensuring that all funds (tuitions, refunds, etc.) are accountable and are reviewed and audited each year, and that we not only adhere to the Rules and Regulations of the Illinois State Board of Education, but also those of ACCET and the United States Department of Education.
