About
Middlesex Community College was founded in 1970 in Bedford, Massachusetts. The school has expanded its operations and locations, offering its services to a wider area. Over the years the school has purchased properties with the intent to expand not only its area of coverage, but to offer new opportunities. For instance, a recent purchase of an old Boston and Maine Railroad depot will be converted into a performing arts center.
Academics
MCC offers degree and certificate programs for its students. Degree programs can be used for transfer into a four year institution. The certificate programs, along with some degree programs, educate students in the skills necessary to begin working immediately in their field of study after graduation. Both types of programs allow the use of received credits to further their education in the future.
Programs offered include:
- Automotive Technology
- Business Administration
- Criminal Justice
- Graphic Design
- Human Services
- Psychology
- Studio Art
Admissions and Financial Aid
Students wishing to enroll must have a school diploma or GED, and complete the admissions application. Once submitted the student should meet with a counselor to discuss enrollment in a given program and the courses necessary. Financial aid applicants must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine eligibility. Students receiving financial aid must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) in order to continue to do so. SAP is determined by credits attempted and GPA.
