About

Canisius College was founded in 1870 in Buffalo, New York by the Society of Jesus and one of 28 Jesuit institutions in the nation.  Canisius College is a private four year institution that boasts modern facilities, small classroom sizes, and an educated and professional faculty. The Campus is 77 acres and houses 32 buildings, and provides students will all the resources necessary to obtain a good education.

 

Academics

Canisius College offers over 125 majors and minors, with accreditation coming from several sources. The faculty is highly qualified, and the offering range from graduate to post-graduate degrees. Some programs are offered online to accommodate students with more difficult schedules.

Athletics

The Canisius College Golden Griffins participate in the NCAA Division I and the MAAC (Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference). Recent years have seen successes in Canisius College's Lacrosse and Baseball teams.
