- Our primary mission is to train students with both theory and practical experience which will prepare them for entry-level employment opportunities with emphasis toward developing in the student desirable work habits and attitudes while encouraging self-reliance, a readiness to assist others, and an ethical approach to this profession as well as prepare the student to successfully complete the N.Y.S. Flag Review - Rating:
- The only concern for Phillips' is to make money and to be the top of the State Board passing list. They do this by enrolling anyone that walks in the front door, there are students with obvious drug problems and personal items consistently go missing. Students threaten each other and show complete disrespect to everyone around making it a unwelcoming learning environment.
As for what students "learn" the teachers lack modern education themselves and professionalism. half of your time will be spent doing roller sets which any good salon no longer does the other half is spent practicing the state board test over and over.
Save yourself find a real cosmetology school.
