Leon's Beauty School was founded in 1963 by Leon Oldham, and was first known as Maison de Paris Beauty School and renamed in 1974. The school is located in Greensboro, North Carolina. The school also operates a salon that doubles as a teaching facility. The additional income generated by the salon allows the school to keep its tuition rates lower than average.
Academics
Leon's Beauty school offers several course of study in the beauty industry. Some of the courses are designed for seasoned professionals wishing to enter teaching positions while others are for those looking to get started. The goal of the school is to provide all the skills and knowledge necessary to be successful.

Admissions and Financial Aid
Those interested in enrolling at Leon's Beauty School must have a high school diploma or equivalent, interview with the director of admissions, complete the entrance evaluation, and take the admission aptitude exam. Those entering teaching programs must also have a cosmetology degree or certificate, a North Carolina license, at least an 85% on the written and practical state boards exam, and pass the admission test of the school.
