About

Brown Mackie College was founded in 1892 as the Kansas Wesleyan School of Business. The school became incorporated in 1938, when it was purchased by former instructors Perry E. Brown and A.B. Mackie. Brown Mackie has grown over the years through the purchase of multiple institutions in various states, which were united under the American Education Centers in 1993. The schools were purchased in 2003 by the Education Management Corporation and renamed Brown Mackie College. Currently Brown Mackie College operates 25 campuses in 15 states.

Admissions and Financial Aid

Students interested in enrolling at Brown Mackie College are asked to review possible program choices and choose the one that best suits them. After the decision has been made, students should contact their nearest location at which point they will be assigned an admissions officer. The admissions officer will assist with the application process. The application for admission is comprehensive and will be used to determine if applicants are suitable for their chosen program. Financial aid is available in the form of federal grants and loans. Some campuses will also have school based aid, and others in certain states will have state grants and loans. Financial aid eligibility and awards are determined by the completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
