History

Founded in 1936 By Rev. John G. Mitchell, Multnomah University was established to bring the truth of God's word to the Pacific Northwest. Located in Portland, Oregon, Multnomah has gone through several phases, initially a school, then later a seminary and college, until 2008 when the school officially became a University. Multnomah has expanded its educational offerings over the years expanding beyond theological and biblical offerings, though spiritual and cultural development are part of the schools overall goals for students.

Academics

Multnomah University offers a diverse set of programs at the undergraduate level along with its graduate and seminary programs. The school has expanded its undergraduate offerings over time and it is important to note that all students major in biblical and theological studies alongside a second major or minor of their choice.

Some majors offered include:

Admissions and Financial Aid

Admissions to Multnomah University require a student to have a high school diploma and GPA of at least 2.5 or a GED. Students applying out of high school must also submit SAT or ACT test scores, letters of recommendation and a personal statement. Transfer students who have completed 24 or more semester hours do not need to submit test scores. Students interested in financial aid should determine their eligibility by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and working with the financial aid office to determine what forms of aid are right for the individual.
