About

The Art Institute of Philadelphia, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is a privately owned institution founded by Philip Trachtman in 1971. The institute was purchased by the Education Management corporation in 1979, which has operated and maintained the institution ever since. The school occupies a historic art deco building in downtown Philadelphia, and serves over 3,200 students a year. The school also operates additional facilities near the main building.

 

Academics

The Art Institute of Philadelphia offers career oriented education in the arts. The goal of the school is to provide the skills and education necessary to be able to perform duties at an entry level position of one's chosen field. The school assists in the development of students through education, advice, review and job placement. The school offers diplomas, associate degrees and bachelor's degrees depending on the program.
