- The mission of the Art Institute of New York City is to provide the highest quality education enhanced by the best customer service and to graduate students whose industry-related skills enable them to realize their greatest potential. The Art Institute of New York City strives to be a leader in providing postsecondary education programs that prepare students for careers in their chosen fields. The Art Institute of New York City graduates are trained for entry-level positions through concentrated, highly structured programs of study that reflect the needs of a changing job market. Curricula are taught by faculty who are, or have been, working professionals in an environment that encourages free expression and leadership. A co-educational, non-sectarian, independent post-secondary school, the Art Institute of New York City believes in the worth and potential of each student.
