- Okay. I've been going to sage for 6 years now and honestly.. They're a piece of you know what. If I could turn back the hands in time, I would go to another school. Sage is way way way too expensive, and like one of the reviews below, most of the teachers are there to collect a paycheck. Not to help you. And if they do, it's because they have to and not because they want to. They'll either send off an attitude signal or just look at you like you're dumb. The administrators of the school hardly even show up at the CSR send offs, which is the graduating ceremony for the students... Which is a whole another topic! If you're reading this review on this school and are looking to go there.. PLEASE think again! The money you spend out of pocket isn't anything near the quality of teaching you receive there. I only wish I had done more research before I started. Good luck to you.

- At first, when you go for a tour of the campus, they are so positive and encouraging. They even go so far as to tell you that you can complete the course in 18 months.. That's a lie! The average student takes anywhere from 4 to 5 years. I have only seen a couple of people complete the course within 2 years. I was also told that I could earn my "Associate's Degree", free of charge, while completing the program. Another lie! I had to pay $150 for each online class, and I found out after I had taken 2 of the online classes that the "Associate's Degree" classes are non-transferable. In other words, it's worthless. In my opinion, the teachers are paid to hold you back in each of the speed classes. Unless you have lots of time and a whole lot of money, I would suggest looking for another school that offers a court reporting program, i.e., Tri Community Adult School in Covina, CA. Tri Community allows you to use your real-time software throughout the program in all speeds. In fact, they require it. Sage will only allow you to start using real-time when you are in 200wpm; another way of holding you back. Most students accumulate an excess of $40,000 in student loans by the time they are finished. Tri Community - $75 per term (4 terms a year) Sage College does not care if their students succeed or not; they only care about the money. Court Reporting is a wonderful profession. Court reporters have the potential of making very good money, but you don't have to go into major debt to become one. If you choose to take this journey, I wish you the best of luck. You can do it! Just believe in yourself and practice, practice, practice!!

- This school is just okay. The tuition is too high for what it covers. If you need to take an online class, you must pay for it out of pocket. If you need to take an opposite session class because the class in your session is full, you have to pay. They make sure they make their money any way possible. The instructors are very discouraging. You ask them for material for help, and they give it to you, but it's not very helpful. All in all , this program is an on your own program, if you don't have AT LEAST 5 hours a day to practice... don't do it. You'll never get out of there and you'll have lots of loans. For the school being located in an isolated shopping center, there is inadequate security. The school hours state that it closes at 10:00pm Mondays through Thursday, but they want you out of there by 9:45pm. The school closes early on Fridays, so if you needed to take a test, and you work, your are S.O.L. because they close early.
