About
GCC has a competency based curricula which has been developed and upgraded with the assistance and cooperation of industry representation and an active Program Advisory Board. Classroom training is reinforced by hands-on experience in modern, fully equipped laboratories simulating the work place. In order to provide for individualized differences, training programs are designed to provide for diverse educational backgrounds and previous work experience. By assessing the students' learning styles, teaching methods are tailored to motivate them to excel in their training programs. Programs include clinical practice and both clinical and clerical extern opportunities which provide students with on the job training. Students are cross trained and learn industry specific skills in order to compete for entry and intermediate level positions in their occupational fields.

GCC believes that professionalism is as an important aspect of training as acquiring technical skills. Students must adhere to attendance and conduct regulations as well as maintaining satisfactory academic progress in the classroom, laboratory, and clinical and/or clerical settings. Training in professionalism develops a positive attitude, personal motivation, self reliance, work maturity, and career pride. GCC seeks to graduate every student who enrolls in training.
