History
Trident University International was known as TUI University when it was founded as a branch of Touro College, New York in 1998. TUI is an online university accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and is the only 100% online institution to have to have done so. TUI serves students of all types from all regions and has become known for its large number of military students who seek postsecondary education. Approximately 80% of their student population is from the military.
Academics
Trident University International offers bachelor's, master's and doctorate degrees in a variety of programs and considers itself a leader of quality online education. 90% of professors at TUI hold PhDs and are required to do hands on research at least once a year. TUI works with individuals to cater to their educational needs and help them achieve their goals.

Admissions and Financial Aid
Admission to Trident University International begins with an online application and the submission of transcripts and review of previous work experience. Dependent on the level of the degree being pursued minimum GPA requirements for admission will change. Prices also vary in both application fee and course hours depending on the level of degree.
Financial aid opportunities are available for interested students, and information and guidance can be obtained from the university's financial aid department. Discounts are also available for those who serve or served in the military.
