The school has expanded its offerings and its role in the community over the years to better reflect the needs and interests of residents and businesses in the area. These programs provide the skills and knowledge necessary to perform the duties and tasks necessary for success in their field of study. Academic programs allow for the completion of the freshman and sophomore years of a four year education, and allow for transfer to a four year college or university upon completion in order to pursue a bachelor's degree. Non-credit and adult education courses allow for adults to return to school in order to develop their skills or further their education, particularly those areas of general education that may be lacking or ignored.

Admissions and Financial Aid

An application for admission is available via mail or online and there is fee for applying. A student taking 12 or more units is considered fulltime, and the price per unit $36. Students can use the Class-Web system available on the college website to register for classes. As a community college the school offers open enrollment, requiring only a minimum standard for entry into the school. These are typically age and a high school education or equivalent, though the second requirement may be waived if the student is of a particular age or can demonstrate that he or she may benefit from such an education.

Financial aid is available in the form of grants, loans and work study programs at the federal and state level. Interested students should fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form in addition to visiting with a counselor at the financial aid office on campus in order to determine eligibility and awards. Students may also be asked to complete additional forms or submit additional financial information as requested by the school. Scholarships may also be available, and are typically awarded for a variety of reasons and requiring a separate application to the scholarships overseeing body.
