Academic transfer programs allow students to pursue a bachelor's degree by first completing the first two years of that education at the community college. Once completed, students will apply for transfer to a college or university to continue their education. Transfer to a University of California or California State University system school is made easier through agreements in place that  guarantee admission if certain requirements are met.

Career training programs allow students to receive an education in a specific field or industry with the intention of seeking employment upon completion of the program. Given that's some programs require hands on training for specific skills, individuals may be required to attend classes at one of the three physical locations in order to complete their education.
