James Sprunt Community College (JSCC)

James Sprunt Community College serves as an educational resource for the residents of Duplin and nearby counties. This college is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges to grant Associate degree, Certificate and Diploma programs designed to provide a strong foundation for a professional career or higher education in four-year institutions. Students from transfer programs can continue with their four-year course in any NC Community College and University of North Carolina, as well as in other colleges and universities.

Continuing Education programs are divided into ten major areas such as occupational extension, allied health, basic skills, emergency medical services and community services, among others. Classes for these programs are held in different locations across the county.
