James Sprunt Community College serves as an educational resource for the residents of Duplin and nearby counties. The main campus occupies a 53-acre land consists of seven main buildings, offices, student centers and other facilities situated at133 James Sprunt Drive, Kenansville, NC 28349. The attractive landscape and setting makes this campus a hub for educational and cultural development for the students. JSCC offers a broad array of curriculum and non-curriculum courses that address the needs of the community it serves.

This college is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges to grant Associate degree, Certificate and Diploma programs designed to provide a strong foundation for a professional career or higher education in four-year institutions. Students from transfer programs can continue with their four-year course in any NC Community College and University of North Carolina, as well as in other colleges and universities.

Continuing Education programs are divided into ten major areas such as occupational extension, allied health, basic skills, emergency medical services and community services, among others. Classes for these programs are held in different locations across the county.
