Laney College

Laney College, located in Oakland, California, was established in 1953. The school is one of four community colleges that comprise the Peralta Community College District which serves northern Alameda County. Of these schools, Laney is the largest, enrolling over 12,000 dollars per year. The school is located near the Lake Merritt Bart, allowing access to the school from a variety of locations throughout the Bay Area. The school offers a variety of services and facilities, allowing students to explore a variety of academic and extracurricular opportunities. Financial aid is available in the form of loans and grants. Students in need of aid should complete and submit a completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in order to determine eligibility and awards.
