North Idaho College (NIC) (NIC)

618 S Main St, Moscow, ID

Located in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, North Idaho College (NIC) is a community college with an enrollment of over 6,000 total students. Coeur d’Alene is a large metropolitan area for the state of Idaho with over 40,000 residents living on the bank of the Spokane River. The city has increasingly been gaining a reputation for tourism, and Barbara Walters has famously called the city a “little slice of heaven”. The city has plenty of sights and sounds that make it a favorite for students who like to spend some time away from the campus. With off campus entertainment options such hiking and snowboarding in scenic environments and majestic mountains, it’s pretty easy to see why.

As a two year community college, North Idaho College has a lot to offer potential students. It offers a large plethora of program choices, including degree and certificate options. In fact, North Idaho College offers three different types of associate’s degree options. There are more than 100 different types of programs and majors that students can choose from, which makes it an attractive choice for students who want to earn an associate’s degree and move on to a four year college or get a skills certificate and move directly into the workforce.

Financial aid comes in the form of loans from the federal government in addition to scholarships, grants and loans, as well as work study that can be performed on campus. If you are interested in applying to North Idaho College, you must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
