The Art Institute of Charlotte, located in Charlotte, North Carolina, is a member of the Art Institute schools, with over forty locations throughout the country. The school is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools and is able to award associate and bachelor degrees. The school is also able to award certificates in North Carolina through licensing from the North Carolina State board of Community Colleges, and degrees by the Board of Governors of the University o0f North Carolina.

Academics

The Art Institute of Charlotte offers programs in select number of art related fields. These programs prepare individuals with the skills necessary to pursue work in their field of study, providing them with the knowledge and professionalism required to find success in the long term. Programs last between 21 and 36 months, and are offered year round. Online courses are also available to assist those in need of flexible schedules.

Admissions and Financial Aid

Students interested in attending the Art Institute of Charlotte must be a high school graduate or GED holder with cumulative GPA of 1.5 or equivalent GED scores.  Once an application is submitted it will be reviewed and assessed, with many factors taken into consideration for admission. Students will also be asked to take placement exams, which may be substituted with sufficient ACT or SAT scores. Financial aid is available in the form of loans, grants and scholarships. Students interested or in need of aid may contact the financial aid office to begin the process of applying for financial aid.
