William James College was formerly known as The Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology.  WJC was founded in 1974 in Boston, Massachusetts to provide graduate level education in the field of psychology. The school offers a number of programs in varying fields of psychology, and enrolls nearly 600 students a year seeking quality education in the field.

Additionally, the school operates three facilities dedicated to social responsibility and community service. The school is accredited my multiple accrediting bodies and has maintained  its high quality of education for nearly four decades.

Academics

William James College offers 14 graduate programs of study resulting in a certificate, master's degree or doctoral degree. These programs are divided into four fields of psychology; clinical psychology, counseling psychology, organizational and leadership psychology and school psychology. Students will choose their area of concentration and pursue the major that best suits their career goals in psychology. Doctoral programs require student to have first earned a bachelor's or master's degree (depending on the program).

Admissions and Financial Aid

Students wishing to enroll in a given program must meet that programs posted prerequisites as well as supply an application for admission, three letters of recommendation, a resume, an application essay, all pertinent transcripts, and GRE scores. Once submitted all the provided material will be reviewed and decision made regarding the applicant's admission to the school.

Financial aid is available in the form of federal loans. Students in need of financial assistance must complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) which will provide the school the information necessary to determine the amount that will be loaned to the student in order to be able to afford tuition at the student's current income.
