The Central School of Practical Nursing is located in the city of Norfolk in Virginia.  Its aim is to become an interactive learning institution that is dedicated in training individuals who want to become competitive practical nurses. Moreover, it is the mission of the school to prepare the students to higher education.

Students who wish to enroll in this public technical school must earn a high school diploma and maintain an average GPA of 2.25 and better. Moreover, students also need to take the entrance exam to assess whether they are qualified to undergo the program. Those who are admitted, on the other hand, may complete the program within a year as long as they become full-time students. Students are taught clinical instructions as well as internship to make them well-versed in the clinical setting.

To keep the school’s program updated, an advisory panel meets twice a year which comprise of representatives from Virginia Beach Psychiatry Center, Lake Taylor Transitional Hospital and Norfolk State University to develop the nursing program. Students can also find employment in these healthcare institutions as soon as they graduate from the program.

On the other hand, students who wish to undergo the nursing program  of the Central School of Practical Nursing in Norfolk can pay the annual tuition fee of $6,580 which is applicable for both in-state and out-of-state students.
