Pacific Northwest University of Health Science (PNWU) is a four-year postgraduate institution and college of osteopathic medicine, and it’s one of 26 school of osteopathic medicine in the nation, as well as the first medical school in the Pacific Northwest in 60 years. Located in Yakima, Washington, PNWU states their missions is to educate and train health care professionals with osteopathic values, as well as conduct research to provide quality care to the community—particularly underserved populations of the Pacific Northwest.

Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine (PNWU-COM) only accepts 135 students each new class—the admissions cycle begins June 1 for the following year’s fall classes.

For the 2013-2014 academic year, tuition is $48,000. This includes an iPad (first year only), textbooks/workbooks (each  year), first year equipment (stethoscope, opthalmoscope, otoscope, lab coat, scrubs, and necessary anatomy dissection equipment, interactive video conferencing, all association dues, fitness club membership stipend (first two years only), and long-term disability insurance.
