What is Robotics Technology?

Robotics Technology is an interdisciplinary field of study fusing science and engineering to create technology, machines, and computers to create robots.  Robotics Technology leverages electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, computer programming, electricity, physics, civil engineering, computer engineering, computer hardware engineering, and software development.

A Robotics Technician will utilize specialized software applications to perform any number of tasks including: robotic design, configuration, installation, assembly, calibration, electromechanical equipment design, fabrication, inspection, maintenance, programming, testing, and training.
