Charlotte Technical Center (CTC)

Charlotte Technical Center offers many outstanding programs. At the completion of these programs one will receive a vocational certificate. Full-time programs are Monday through Friday and can be taken in one to three semesters. The center is located in Port Charlotte, Florida and has been helping students for many years. Tuition varies per course, but is affordable.

Adult education programs are offered in Medical Administrative Specialist, Digital Design, Dental Assisting, Nursing, Automotive Service Technology, Cosmetology, Early Childhood Education, Computer Systems Technology, and Drafting.

The Adult Learning Center (ALC) is part of the Charlotte County Public School System. The center tries to make education accessible through different programs. No matter one’s schedule, one can further their education.

Students have the opportunity to use learning labs. These are opportunities that allow students to work by themselves to develop their skills and prepare for the GED exam. Students can studying during the day or evening. Charlotte Technical Center offers the flexibility that adults need.

Assignments are given to help with the Test of Adult Education (TABE). Instructors work with students to help them understand areas that are having trouble with. Student progress is self-paced, and the required skill levels for the various goals are different.

Classes are offered to help individuals will different skills. Classes are offered in math, reading, and English as a Second Language. Courses are offered at a variety of locations. One-on-one tutoring is available as well. Education breeds success and the Charlotte Technical Center works with students to achieve success.
