Garnet Career Center, located in Charleston, West Virginia, has been operated and funded by Kanawha County since 1971. Garnet Career Center serves adults by educating them through one of three career programs. Many adults also enroll at Garnet Career Center to prepare for their GED examination.

Academics

Garnet Career Center provides educational programs for three careers. The goal is to build technical skills and positive workplace attitudes to ensure success in the workplace.

The three programs are:

Admissions and Financial Aid

Students interested in enrolling at Garnet Career Center must fill out an application and submit it. Students wishing to enter the nursing program must take the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS). Dates for the TEAS are available on the website prior to each enrollment period.

80% of the student body at Garnet Career College receives some form of financial aid. Financial aid information can be obtained by making an appointment with the financial aid counselor and/or by using the financial aid calculator available on the schools website.
