Great Plains Technology Center (GPTC) is located in Lawton, OK. The GPTC vision is to train the workforce of the future by providing exemplary educational opportunities. Their mission is to improve the livelihood and successful economic opportunities for residents of southwest Oklahoma by forging a strong relationship between educators, the community, and employers. Many exciting programs are offered in the following fields:

  • Advanced Respiratory Therapist
  • Diesel Truck Service
  • Network Systems Technician
  • Pre-Engineering
  • Radiologic Technology
  • Welding

GPTC programs are designed for those wishing to earn certifications in professional fields. However, many courses can count as transfer credits to other higher learning facilities depending on the program of concentration. GPTC provides hands-on applications to improve careers and help individuals have fun while they learn. Offering a variety of student services, GPTC provides students a wide range of resources that helps them through the application process all the way to career counseling. Online courses are also available for corresponding programs. Tuition is based on semesters and can range in cost depending on the program of choice. For the 2013 academic year, tuition (not including books) ranged from approximately $1500-$2000 per semester. GPTC hosts a variety of clubs and organizations including: Future Educators of America (FEA) and Healthcare Occupations Students of America (HOSA). GPTC offers classes from two campuses (Lawton and Tillman Kiowa Campus) as well as courses online.
