Miami Lakes Educational Center, located in Miami Lakes, Florida, was founded in 1998 as part of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools system. The school is one of three vocational training centers in the area, and the only one that also maintains a full time high school. The school has shown to be consistent in education, continually earning high praise and evaluation in regards to the education offered. As the school is identified as a magnet school, any high school students that wish to attend must be accepted by the school in order to enroll.
Academics
Students will be able to choose from a variety of programs in high demand fields. Students will be given the education and training needed to be able to enter the workforce in the chosen field as a qualified professional upon completion. These programs are designed to prepare individuals for long term employment in their chosen field and may take between one and two years to complete, resulting in a certificate or diploma upon completion that demonstrates training and competency to potential employers.

Miami Lakes Educational Center admits any individuals that complete the application for admission and pay the associated fees. Adults that choose to enroll are asked to provide relevant educational information such as transcripts and test scores if available.
