As the 7th largest of the 37 BOCES in New York State, Onondaga Cortland Madison BOCES serves 23 districts in Onondaga, Cortland and Madison counties in cooperation with other component districts. This school's educational programs and services are provided with high regard for quality and excellence as it aims to help students succeed in their professional careers.
OCM BOCES offers broad range of programs focused on Adult Education. These include career and technical education, continuing education and workforce development for adults. Career trainings provide students with the opportunity to enhance their skills or learn new skills in the following areas: Cosmetology Careers, Health-Related Occupations, Office Technology, Technical Computer Programs, Trade and Technical Programs. OCM BOCES also caters to business and industry offering customized training in different areas of study designed to address the specific needs of the organization.
Continuing Education, GED, Adult Education Literacy, External Diploma and English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) are the other programs available for adults. These programs are offered with great flexibility to meet the diverse educational needs of the community.
To qualify for the Adult Education Literacy programs, students must be 21 years old and above. GED classes are conducted on campus or in other satellite locations. It may also be taken as an individualized, packet-based program at home to fit the students’ lifestyle and learning pace.
