Penta Career Center

Located in Perrysburg Ohio, Penta Career Center offers vocational training for high school students and adults. The school actively recruits involvement from local business and industry leaders to reach its goal of real-world learning. A Career Services Center at Penta assists students in "school to work" experiences through local internship placement as well as part-time and seasonal work opportunities. In addition, the Center staff can help with resume and cover letter development and also prepares students with "mock interview" sessions.
The Adult Education site at Penta offers GED preparation classes as well as Adult Basic Literacy Education (ABLE) classes, both free of charge. Penta offers full time vocational training in the following fields:

- Automotive Technologies
- Builder, Contractor & Remodeler
- General Office & Clerical Services
- Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration

- Welding & Fabrication
Tuition for the 2013/2014 school year for these programs ranges from approximately $3800 to $4800, with financial aid available for students who quality. Financial aid sources include traditional Pell Grants and Veterans Benefits as well as help for the unemployed, dislocated, or disabled through the Workforce Investment Act, the Trade Adjustment Assistance Act, and the Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation.
There are part time offerings as well and Penta maintains a large online course base called ed2go with more than 300 classes available at a cost of $89 per course for the 2013/2014 school year. In partnership with Boston Reed College Penta offers intensive online programs in Medical Billing and Coding and Electronic Health Records.
For high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors, Penta offers a wide variety of vocational programs, most of which can be taken with college credit and internship options.
