Tennessee College of Applied Technology – Hohenwald

813 West Main, Hohenwald, TN

The Tennessee Technology Center of Hohenwald was first named Hohenwald State Area Vocational Technical School in1965. However, it was only on the 1st of July 2013 when the school was finally included in the Tennessee Technology Center Systems which made it as the youngest addition of the system. Upon its accreditation to the Tennessee Technology Center System, its name was changed to TTC-Hohenwald. Along with the change of its name, the school also sought accreditation with higher learning institutions. With its effort to maintain its quality education, TTC-Hohenwald was accredited by the Commission on Occupational Education Recently.

Upon its inclusion to the TTC System, TTC-Hohenwald aims to provide quality training to students and retraining to employed workers seeking to update their skills. Moreover, with the high demands of the local communities when it comes to access to technical programs, TTC-Hohenwald developed its curriculum and adapted to the demands of the industry. Currently, there are many programs offered in TTC-Hohenwald and these include automotive technology, industrial management, electronics technology, practical nursing, early childhood education and cosmetology. Aside from the fulltime programs offered by experience faculty members, the school also offers evening programs, online programs and employment retraining for those who wish to earn certificates in a particular skill.

Similar with other schools governed by the Tennessee Board of Regents, the TTC-Hohenwald’s tuition fee rates remained at $183 per credit hour since last academic year. On the other hand, students who wish to continue their education in a community college or university, they can take advantage of the Tennessee Transfer Pathway where students can transfer to community colleges and universities that are accredited with the Tennessee Board of Regents.
