The Tennessee Technology Center at Nashville is one of twenty six such institutions formed in 1963 through legislation passed by the Tennessee General Assembly.  Originally known as State Area Vocational-Technical Schools, these institutions are placed in order to maximize service areas make available resources to residents throughout the state. The center at Nashville has high graduation (nearly 86%), placement (95%) and licensure rates (100%), significantly higher than the required averages.
