The Tennessee Technology Center at Nashville is one of twenty six such institutions formed in 1963 through legislation passed by the Tennessee General Assembly.  Originally known as State Area Vocational-Technical Schools, these institutions are placed in order to maximize service areas make available resources to residents throughout the state. The center at Nashville has high graduation (nearly 86%), placement (95%) and licensure rates (100%), significantly higher than the required averages.

Academics

The Tennessee Technology Center at Nashville provides career training for the purposes of long term employment and workforce development. Working with the local business, the school provides training opportunities in typically high demand fields, assisting in post graduate placement, and ensuring that the education and training received by students can be utilized over time. Instructors typically have industry experience and work hard to ensure that students develop the necessary skills for viable employment.

Admissions and Financial Aid

Individuals interested in enrollment may do so easily by completing the application. Non-high school graduates must be at least 18 years of age. Supplying previous transcripts and test scores is recommended, and some programs may require additional placement testing. Meeting with a counselor is encouraged to discuss plans and goals and assist in program placement. Financial aid is available in the form of loans, grants and scholarships and generally awarded based on need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
