Stevens-Henager College was founded in 1891 by professor James Ayers Smith. The school was originally known as Intermountain Business College and provided training and job placement for local business. The school was sold in 1938 and became known as Smithsonian Business School. After a few more transitions in ownership, the school came to be Stevens-Henager College, with eleven locations in the states of Utah and Idaho and is among the oldest colleges in Utah.

The school offers a variety of programs students may choose from, allowing then to pick the educational track that best reflect their career aspirations. Courses are taught by experienced industry professionals who ensure the curriculum offered reflects the demands of employers and provides the best training and education possible. Upon completion, students will be able to pursue employment as qualified professionals.
