American Sentinel University is a distance-learning institution founded in 1988 and is based in Denver, Colorado.  The school primarily focuses on healthcare related degrees and certificates through its online services platform.

American Sentinel University is nationally accredited by the Distance Education Accreditation Commission (DEAC) a recognized member of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

American Sentinel University offers a number of healthcare focused programs that include bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in addition to a certificate program.  The undergraduate and graduate programs at ASU include the following: M.S. Nursing (MSN), Registered Nurse to B.S. Nursing (RN to BSN), Registered Nurse to B.S. Nursing/M.S. Nursing (RN to BSN/MSN), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), MBA Healthcare, M.S. Information Systems Management, M.S. Business Intelligence and Analytics, M.S. Nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice Executive Leadership, and Doctor of Nursing Educational Leadership.

The certificate program is an Infection Prevention and Control program that is arranged in an eight week course accounting for fifteen credits hours.  Like the other programs offered at ASU, the certificate program is 100% online and most courses start monthly.

The combination of being online and starting on shorter intervals will provide students flexibility and rigorous curricula to help you on a path to achieve your goals.
