Alabama Southern Community College is now known as Coastal Alabama Community College. CACC is located in Monroeville, Alabama. It is a public two year institution formed in 1991 through the merger of Patrick Henry Junior College and Hobson State Technical School.
As a result the school operates two campuses located in Monroeville and Thomasville, as well as two learning centers in Gilbertown and Jackson. The Thomasville campus houses the Kathryn Tucker Windham Museum which is dedicated to the preservation of the works of the museum's namesake, who was dedicated to capturing folklore and culture of Alabama through literature and other means.
