
Central Virginia Community College, located in Lynchburg, Virginia, was founded in 1966 to serve the cities of Lynchburg and Bedford, and the counties of Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford and Campbell. CVCC Lynchburg is a 2 year institution with a focus on providing the highest quality education possible for its students through the continued review and updating of programs and facilities to meet the needs of modern students within the school's service area. Academics
CVCC Lynchburg offers a variety of programs at the associate level, as well as vocational programs that offer certificates and diplomas. Continuing education and specialized training classes are also available. Academic transfer programs allow students to complete the first two years of a four year education, followed by the application to transfer to a college or university, to complete one's bachelor's degree.
