Central Virginia Community College Reviews

My academic career consists of 4 colleges, 3 of those were community colleges. I cannot express how terrible my experience at CVCC was. I took three classes there and I only finished one. The professors in the other classes were negligent and I literally did not have the patience to sit through an entire semester with them teaching. I can understand having inefficient resources because it is a "community college" but not only are they inefficient.

I decided on Virginia Community College because its close to home, so I enrolled straight out of high school. For the money you spend, CVCC is a fantastic school, even though the financial aid department makes you want to scream! Just like with many community colleges, you have the good mixed in with the bad, some teachers you will not like at all, but others you will come to. I've had my share of drama coming from people who are supposed to be professional, But, lots at CVCC make up for some of the questionable people you meet. In my full 2 years there, I had some incredible teachers. Make sure to do your homework, and this includes for every program. I had a lot of friends in different programs all complain about the same thing...the workload. If you want a challenge, and to save money, this is your school.

CVCC was good to me, I was in their pre-nursing program and it was top notch!
If you are thinking about a pre-nursing program in the area I would highly recommend CVCC, their instructors were very caring.
Go to the campus and check it out, I'm sure they would love to give you a tour.
