
The Louisiana State University was founded in 1964 as part of a state legislation that also approved the founding of LSU Shreveport. LSUE is dedicated to providing the best education possible to its students. LSUE offers support and assistants to help students achieve academic, personal, career and employment success.
Academics
LSUE is a two year institution offering transfer and career oriented programs. Graduates will receive an associate's degree, certificate, or diploma depending on the program completed. Graduates of vocational and career programs will have the education and skills necessary to find and maintain work, while transfer students will be able to pursue their degrees at for year institutions and beyond.

Admissions and Financial Aid
Students wishing to enroll and LSUE need to complete and submit the application after which they will receive a student ID number which will be used to register for classes. Once the registration process is completed students all fees must be paid. Financial aid is available to students who are eligible. Eligibility is determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) which should be completed and submitted promptly.
Athletics
The LSUE Bengals participate in the NJCAA . The sports programs offered are Baseball, Basketball and Softball.
