Mendocino College, located in Ukiah, California, is a public, two year institution founded in 1975 to serve the needs of the multiple school districts. It is one of the 112 colleges that comprise the California Community College System and operates in the Mendocino-Lake Community College District which was formed in 1981 to more effectively cover the various communities and cities served by the school. The school maintains branch campuses in Lakeport and Willits.

Academics
Students will be able to choose between academic transfer and career training programs. Academic transfer is accomplished through the completion of a curriculum that mirrors the first two years of a four year education. Upon completion students will apply to four year institutions to continue their education and earn a bachelor's degree. Career programs allow students to pursue education and training in one of several high demand fields with the purpose of entering the workforce as a professional upon completion.
