NVC has an open admission policy which welcomes students regardless of their race, nationality, age and color.
At NVC, students can earn their associate degrees, certificates as well as learn new technical skills that are tailored to meet their specific needs for their careers. Students can also learn technical skills such as carpentry and culinary arts and find employment after attending school for two years.
NVC offers one of the most affordable tuition fee rates for higher education in the San Antonio area. As of the academic year of 2013, in-district students are required to pay the per semester fee of $480 per semester hour while out-of-district students are required to pay $1,172.
On the other hand, students who wish to proceed to a four-year course can easily transfer to any colleges or universities that they wish to apply. To facilitate the transfer, NVC have partnered with other colleges to create transfer plans and guides to assist the students when it comes to selecting a course by degree program. NVC has a transfer service center that helps students with their admission to other schools such as University of Texas in San Antonio, University of the Incarnate World, Our Lady of the Lake University and Texas State University to name a few.
