Ozarka College, located in Melbourne, Arkansas, is a public, two year institution founded in 1975 and was originally known as Ozarka Vocational-Technical School. The school was renamed in 1991 to Ozarka Technical College, and was again renamed to the current in 1999, both name changes reflected the schools changing and expanding role in the community and increase in program offerings. The school enrolls 1500 students per semester, and has expanded its services through the completion of a learning center in Ash Flat in 2008.
Academics
Students may choose to pursue academic transfer or career training opportunities as part of the schools long term offerings. Academic transfer is accomplished through the completion of a curriculum that mirrors the first two years of a four year education, followed by applying for transfer to a colleges and universities to complete the final two years and earn a bachelor's degree. Career programs provide education and training in a given area or industry with the purpose of entering the workforce upon completion. Through the education provided student's will be able to complete tasks and duties outlined by their chosen profession. Programs take between one and two years to complete and result in a certificate or degree upon completion.

Ozarka College is an open enrollment institution that admits any individuals that meet the minimum requirements for enrollment, submit an application, and pay all related fees. Students should also provide previous transcripts and test scores if available, and may be required to take a placement exam prior to registration. Participation in new student orientation and meeting with a counselor are also encouraged.
